) Preparing patients for the doctor Obtaining patient ocular & medical history Documenting chief complaints Performing various medical & vision tests Instilling eye medication for dilation & treatment Scribing for the doctor Stocking exam rooms with supplies Training new contact lens patients on insertion & removal techniques Chairside assisting doctor in exam room Providing education for patients & their family members Ordering contact lenses & maintaining contact lens inventory Assisting in marketing activities Cross training into other areas of the office Performing any other duties as deemed necessary Position Qualifications Proficient in typing & computer skills Energetic with excellent customer service skills Be organized Team player Ability to multitask & prioritize tasks Excellent written & verbal communication skills with patients & team members Must be dependable & punctual Excellent time management skills Attention to detail Ability to work in a fast paced environment Other points of interest Previous experience not necessary if motivated to learn a new career!
